Caring Hands for Animals

CARING HANDS FOR ANIMALS (CHFA) is a non-profit animal welfare organization. It is committed to the protection of all animals & birds and to the promotion of a harmonious relationship among humans, non-humans and the environment. CHFA runs on donations and sponsorship from the community for its various programs.
CHFA started as a small group of like-minded & spirited individuals from different walks of life, passionate about animals and dedicated to promote compassion and humane treatment to all animals& birds. The founders commenced working together from 2008 as an informal group promoting animal rights, compassionate care, spreading public awareness on the abuse and killing of animals as well as focusing on rescuing injured, sick and abandoned birds and animals amongst others.

Activities -
We rescue, rehabilitate, care for the distressed animals to the best of our abilities and limited resources. We offer advice on caring for all animals and campaign to bring in a positive change in the attitudes of people towards caring for animals and animal rights.
We focus upon
  • Fight for animal rights through public education and legislative advocacy
  • Working with residential societies and local communities to foster a more humane outlook for acceptance of neighborhood animals and their rights
  • Rehabilitation of abandoned animals
  • Rescue operations for animals in distress
  • Promotion of quality ABC (anti birth control) care of dogs
  • Building awareness on territorial rights of dogs & other animals
  • Spreading awareness on animal protection laws in India
  • Building sensitivity towards animals & appreciation of their struggle for life
  • Media campaigns on improving standards of animal care and other animal related issues
